The area
Visit the historic city of Angoulême, with its cultural attractions, shops, restaurants and bars. The area around the town of Cognac, just over half an hour away, is home to the famous cognac houses. There are numerous chateaux in the area and many picturesque towns and villages to explore.
For the golfers, there are four 18-hole courses within easy reach. There are some lovely woodland walks and the coast is less than two hours away.
